It has been announced that Batman: R.I.P. & Final Crisis writer Grant Morrison will be unable to attend this weekend’s New York City Comic Con where he was scheduled to be a guest of honor. According to an official statement from Morrison:

As a result of family issues, I won’t be able to make it to the New York Comic Con this weekend. My apologies to everyone, and particularly to the readers I won't get a chance to meet this time around due to circumstances beyond my control. See you next time.

This is a shame as, grant isn't one for giving to many secrets away, but has always strives to give fans the answers, which would have been good to hear what he would have had to say about Batman R.I.P., the end of Bruce Wayne and his announcement yesterday on his return to Batman in June and what hes got planned for the new Dark Knight...
