Video game site NOW GAMER has spoken with Batman: Arkham Asylum game director Sefton Hill saying - "The team is 100 per cent commited to delivering the Batman game you've always wanted to play”...

NG: Have you been influenced tonally by Christopher Nolan’s work with the recent Batman films, or do your influences still lie more with the comics?

SH: Our influences are mainly from the core comic history. We have over 70 years of Batman to draw from so there’s plenty there for us to use. I think both Christopher Nolan films are awesome but any similarities in tone are more down to the fact that he is probably inspired by the same elements of Batman as we are.

It is certainly true, though, that Batman: Arkham Asylum is a dark game. Once we’d decided to set the game in a madhouse with Joker running the show it was inevitable it would end up this way! I think people will be very surprised at some of the dark secrets hiding within Arkham: rest assured there are some things in there that will shock you!
