Just finished watching this episode and I can't recommend it enough and let me tell you why. The first reason is we get to see all the original Justice League together, yes Superman, Wonder Woman and the Flash make an appearance for the first time. Now lets not get too excited because we only see the back of them but they are hinted at none the less.

The feature of this episode is the sidekicks, which is Robin, Aqualad and Speedy and the episode starts off all three arguing in the watchtower. Batman soon separates the trio putting them in a training simulation. This quickly becomes a competition and the winner will be the leader of the sidekick team (no names mentioned).

We forward 10 years or so and the trio are taking on a group of henchmen who turn out to be Ra's Al Ghul's henchmen. While the three start to get on top of the situation. Batman, Aquaman and Green Arrow turn up to spoil the action while blaming the mess-up on the sidekicks.

The next cool moment is the actual Hall of Justice from the JLA comics is shown, here Batman tells the young team he is willing to give them a chance to hunt down Ra's secret hideout. Very nice scene here with Batman trying to play Robin by telling him which island they think Ra's is on and Robin inadvertently falls for the rouse. What we soon discover is Batman was wrong and Ra's is actually on the island Robin and the other sidekicks were sent to.

Batman, Aquaman and Green Arrow are attacked by a giant plant (this plays into Ra's scheme later on in the episode). The sidekick trio end up fighting with Talia and her men (this is also her first appearance in brave and the bold), we think Speedy, Aqualad and Robin win the fight but Ra's Al Ghul steps in and takes them out.

A little bit of exposition with Ra's explaining his evil plan to level Coast City (using the giant plants). Batman, Aquaman and Green Arrow escape the other island, blah, blah, blah.

Taila does feel betrayed by her farther as he is still seeking a male heir to the Demon Heads throne, so Talia frees the sidekick trio from the death trap.

Nice scene at the end of the episode of Batman and Ra's sword fighting. Eventually the sidekick trio and the other heroes win the day and stop Ra's who is rescued last minute by Talia.

Well you'd think that was it... no the best bit is right at the very end of the episode. Speedy and Aqualad are finally recognised by their peers. Batman asks where Robin is and the doors open to reveal Dick has stripped away his Robin persona and finally embraced Nightwing!!!
