Gen Con Day One

Ok so I know this isn't Batman related (that much) but I still think it is important to detail events like this, plus it is my first Con and I wanted to post my experience. 


I have never been to Gen Con before, so I didn’t know what to expect or really where to go so I followed the mass of people past a giant one eyed thing a dragon and a lot of people wearing the same mask (which I had no idea what it was). I picked up my press pass and started to wonder around counting the number of people in costumes I recognized (4 different Ghostbusters all with nice looking proton packs, only one Joker he was the Dark Knight Version, with him was Harley Quinn from Arkham Asylum, and a group of girls: two as Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, and Black Canary) which wasn’t much, but I never claimed to have much nerd cred. I wondered around for a bit soaking up the place figuring out where things where, there was also free wi-fi which was nice. When I made my down to the main convention hall I headed right towards the WizKids booth to see if there were any cool Batman heroclix. Sadly all they had on display was the Blackest Night set, and a very cool model of the Daily Planet building.
I only stayed for about an hour and half today then made my way home, but not before fighting a dragon, watching a giant robotic chess game, a huge Magic the Gathering game that took several people, Tardis, and much more! I also poked my head into a couple of large game rooms and took a few pictures which I included.
I will make the trek down Friday and Saturday and will report back to everyone on what I see.

Saved the best for last...I think Black Canary was sick of posing of pictures, but I appreciated that they took a second to pose for me, and I passed a business card with the site on it so i hope they check it out. Thanks again ladies.
